Going to Scotland? Take advantage of the ‘Visit for Free’ programme with free admission to more than 40 heritage attractions across the country
For two days in November visitors to Scotland will have the opportunity to visit more than 40 heritage attractions across the country without spending so much as a penny. This initiative is part of Historic Scotland’s St Andrews ‘Visit for Free’ programme.
The programme will run from the 26 to 27 November, marking three of Scotland’s Winter Festivals: St Andrew’s Day; Hogomanay; and Burns Night.
Explore Edinburgh Castle, Scotland’s number one tourist attraction, or head to Urquhart Castle and look out of the Loch Ness monster. Marvel at the newly-transformed palace at Stirling Castle, or tour the 15th century Blackness Castle.
Those wishing to take advantage of the offer can register online and download a free weekend pass that will allow them entry into all ticketed Historic Scotland properties. The pass will be valid for up to two adults and three children.
