The dictionary definition of Spa includes references to therapeutic baths, mineral springs, or a tub for relaxation or invigoration, often including a whirlpool. Water and therapy are major factors in anybodys definition but today, spa days conjure up a relaxing day including massages and other therapeutic treatments, of which luxuriating in a mineral Jacuzzi is often high on the list.
Although the Greeks and Romans play a large part in the history of spas, Asia also enjoyed an important ancient role in the development of the popularity of spas.

Scheduled passenger airlines’ profit margin of 3.0 percent in the fourth quarter of 2010 was the lowest since the first quarter of 2010, BTS reported today in a release of preliminary data.
BTS, a part of the Research and Innovative Technology Administration, reported that the network airlines reported an operating profit margin of 2.6 percent as a group in the October-to-December period, their third consecutive profitable quarter (Table 1). The low-cost group’s profit margin of 5.1 percent was the lowest since the first quarter of 2010. The low-cost group last reported a loss margin in the third quarter of 2008.

Lufthansa has opened its new Senator Lounge at Dubai International Airport which is open to First Class, Senator, Star Alliance Gold and HON Circle members.But such are the space constraints at the 270sqm lounge, located at Gate 126 in Terminal 1, that regular business travellers aren’t admitted and must use the Marhaba Lounge opposite instead.Jurgen Marske, Lufthansa’s Director Airport Services and Ground Operations for Southeast Europe, Africa & Middle East, expressed his disappointment at not being able to accommodate executives in the revamped lounge, which cost €1.3m and took three months to complete.”We would have liked to double our surface space here, in order to accommodate business class travellers too, however no space became available.”The European carrier has made the best use of the available space, managing to squeeze in 68 seats, four workstation stools, four reclining chairs – facing a large panoramic picture of an A380 above the Alps – an eight-compartment locker and eight small dining tables next to the food & beverage area. PITTSBURGH – Two special exhibits on view until August make it clear that the Andy Warhol Museum isn’t resting on its namesake’s legacy.
Both “Mixed Signals: Artists Consider Masculinity in Sports” and “Contemporary Magic: A Tarot Deck Art Project” fit the spirit of the Warhol, a seven-story structure that also exhibits generous selections of Warhol’s art from throughout his career. (The artist was born in a Pittsburgh row house and graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology, now Carnegie-Mellon University, before heading to fame and fortune in New York.)
Situated on Pittsburgh’s North Shore, just over the Andy Warhol Bridge from downtown, the Warhol Museum is a short walk from Heinz Field, where the Pittsburgh Steelers play, and PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
